Day 126: Seaside Sparrow

The Seaside Sparrow is a small bird that inhabits marshes and grasslands. They breed in salt marshes on the Atlantic and Gulf coasts of the U.S., from southern New Hampshire to Texas. We saw one last time we made a trip to Maryland's eastern coast.

Seaside Sparrows have brown upperparts and a gray colored breast with dark streaks. They also have a small yellow streak just above the eye.
