Day 49: Ring-necked Duck

Happy three day weekend! I don't feel like writing much tonight, so the post is going to be short.

The Ring-necked Duck is a small diving duck that can be found throughout must of North America. Adult males have a grey bill with a white band around it, a dark purple head, bright yellow eyes, and a dark grey back. Females are brown with a lighter band around the bill.

We've seen quite a few Ring-necked Ducks on our trips this year throughout Maryland.
