Day 191: Brown Thrasher

The Brown Thrasher is the state bird of Georgia and is one of the first birds that Jared taught me to identify. This species can be found east of the Rocky Mountains and is in the same family as Catbirds and Mockingbirds. The Brown Thrasher is known for having over 1,000 song types, and each note is usually repeated in a double or triple pattern.
