Day 225: Western Tanager

We made it back from our trip to Colorado! We had a great time and saw a ton of animals and birds. I'll be sharing photos of birds from our trip for the next several weeks, at least.

One of the prettiest, most colorful birds that we saw on our trip is the Western Tanager. We saw this vibrant male for a few minutes while hiking to a small waterfall. Western Tanagers breed in coniferous or mixed forests across western North America.
